Nepal-China Railway included in Belt and Road Forum communique

KATHMANDU: Nepal-China Railway has been included in the 38-point joint communique titled ‘Belt and Road Co-operation: Shaping a Brighter Shared Future’ issued following the conclusion of the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF).

The Nepal-China Trans-Himalayan Multi-dimensional Connectivity Network, including Nepal-China cross-border railway, has been included in the annex of the joint communique, Annapurna Post reported.

The leaders participating in the two-day event expressed their support to build on the progress already made in developing economic corridors and economic and trade co-operation zones in various countries including the Nepal-China Trans-Himalayan Multi-Dimensional Connectivity Network and Nepal-China cross-border railway.
