NRB publishes today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today (Wednesday).

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 151.00 and the selling rate at Rs 151.60.

Similarly, the buying and selling rates of one euro have been fixed at Rs 175.30 and Rs 175.99 respectively. One UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 202.69 and sold at Rs 203.49, while one Swiss franc has a buying rate of Rs 190.09 and a selling rate of Rs 190.85.

The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been set at Rs 106.80 and the selling rate at Rs 107.23. One Canadian dollar is being bought at Rs 107.86 and sold at Rs 108.29, while one Singapore dollar is being traded at Rs 117.84 for buying and Rs 118.31 for selling.

The buying and selling rates for 10 Japanese yen have been fixed at Rs 9.42 and Rs 9.45 respectively. One Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 22.23 and sold at Rs 22.44.

Similarly, one Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 40.24 and a selling rate of Rs 40.40, while one Qatari riyal is being exchanged at Rs 41.44 and Rs 41.60 respectively.

According to Nepal Rastra Bank, one Thai baht is being bought at Rs 4.64 and sold at Rs 4.66. The buying and selling rates for one UAE dirham have been fixed at Rs 41.11 and Rs 41.28 respectively, while one Malaysian ringgit is being traded at Rs 37.12 and Rs 37.27.

The buying rate of 100 South Korean won has been set at Rs 10.02 and the selling rate at Rs 10.06. One Swedish krona is being bought at Rs 16.08 and sold at Rs 16.15, while one Danish krone is being exchanged at Rs 23.45 for buying and Rs 23.55 for selling.

The central bank has fixed the buying and selling rates of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 19.28 and Rs 19.35 respectively. One Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs 491.94 and sold at Rs 493.89. Likewise, one Bahraini dinar has a buying rate of Rs 400.48 and a selling rate of Rs 402.07, while one Omani rial is being exchanged at Rs 392.23 and Rs 393.79 respectively.

The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160.00, while the selling rate stands at Rs 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that the exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It also noted that rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated exchange rates are available on the central bank’s website.
