Three die, five injured in Makwanpur jeep fall

MAKWANPUR: Three persons died and five others were injured in a road accident at Indrasarobar rural municipality-3 of Makawanpur district today.

Identities of the deceased have not been ascertained yet, said police. They died on the spot in the accident.

The accident took place when a jeep (Na 1 Ja 3433) heading towards Kathmandu from Chandranigahapur fell some 300 meters off the road.

The injured have been sent to Kathmandu for treatment. A total of nine people were traveling in the jeep. Of them, one passenger is safe.

Further investigation into the mishap was underway.
