Deuba alleges government of tampering democratic rights

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has accused the government of trying to destroy democracy by tampering democratic rights.

Deuba said it is high time that NC youths and students protected the federal democratic republic and foster national unity.

He added that freedom of speech and opinion, free mobility, right to property, and right to a dignified life are the most important factors in democracy.

These rights have to be preserved, he said.
