Koirala dubs Prez’s China visit inappropriate

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has said it was inappropriate for President Bidya Devi Bhandari to take part in Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation like an executive President.

“The President is doing the job to be done by Prime Minister. What message is she trying to deliver from such action?,” asked Koirala.

Speaking at a town committee meeting in Kolapur, Banke, Koirala accused that the government was institutionally involved in corruption in an organized manner.

He accused that the government was becoming conceited on the grounds of two-thirds majority.

On a separate note, the leader urged the government to book the guilty involved in Baluwatar and Khula Manch land scams.
