Sujan bags bronze in Asian Cities Taekwondo Championship

KATHMANDU: Sujan Gurung has won a bronze medal for Nepal in the Asian Cities Taekwondo Championship. The championship was held at Kowloon Sports Park Centre in Hong Kong.

Gurung bagged the bronze for ‘fight’ category of the championship, the Nepali team manager Kumar Lama Ghising said.

Gurung was defeated by Chinese competitor by 4-9 points in the  58 KG weight group of the fight. He had edged a Singaporean player 9-7 in the pre-quarter final and trounced his Mongolian contender 13-9 in the quarter final of the championship.
