Appropriation Bill tabled in NA

KATHMANDU: Secretary at the National Assembly Rajendra Phuyal today presented the Appropriation Bill-2076 in the meeting of the National Assembly (NA) along with the message from the House of Representatives (HpR).

Earlier speaking in the zero hour in today’s session of the NA, lawmaker Deepa Gurung asked for a raise to the amount provided for the operation of colleges in the rural areas up to at least Rs 1 million to Rs 1.5 million.

Likewise, lawmaker Durga Prasad Chapagain asked the government to work towards ensuring that the shortage of seeds and fertilizers is not felt during paddy plantation. Chapagain also asked the government to bring the racket creating an artificial shortage of manure and fertilizer to book.

Meanwhile, during the second meeting of the Upper House, Finance Minister Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada presented a proposal seeking deliberation on the Appropriation Bill.
