Rape-accused sentenced to six years in jail

SAPTARI: Saptari District Court has sentenced 18-year-old Ghuran Kumar Yadav of Bode Barsain Municipality-7 to six years in jail on the charge of raping a minor girl.

A single bench of District Judge Nandakishor Prasad Yadav slapped a six-year-jail term along with a fine of Rs 50,000 on rape-accused Yadav.  The accused had been kept in Rajbiraj jail for investigation since April 20, 2018.

Perpetrator Yadav had raped the victim in her own room on March 23, 2018.
