BIRATNAGAR: Minister for Defense Ishwor Pokhrel has dismissed reports of any agreement between the two chairmen of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) about leading the government turn by turn.

Speaking to journalists at Biratnagar Airport on Friday morning, Minister Pokhrel said no such agreement has been reached between the two chairmen during the party unification.

He maintained that they have been holding discussions on party issues.

Stating it was not unusual to hold discussions within the party as the two parties came from different backgrounds, the issue of change of prime minister should not be construed as a dispute.

He also ruled out talks with the Biplab-led faction based on the conditions put forth by the Biplav-group.

Minister Pokhrel said the government would welcome anyone wishing to join the mainstream politics.
