KATHMANDU: Minister for Agriculture, Forest, and Environment, Geeta Chaudhary, has initiated preparations to ensure the smooth supply of chemical fertilizers required by farmers for the upcoming season.
Approval for funds amounting to 10 billion rupees has been received from the Ministry of Finance to procure the necessary chemical fertilizers. Following this approval, preparations are underway to initiate the tender process for purchasing the required fertilizer, according to Minister Chaudhary’s secretariat.
Meanwhile, Minister Chaudhary has directed that the procurement process and supply management be advanced as a priority, with the aim of ensuring fertilizer timely, so that farmers do not face shortages during the planting season. (RSS)
