Nepali woman held for ‘killing her husband’ in Australia



SYDNEY: Police arrested a Nepali woman for allegedly killing her husband on Saturday night, The Sydney Morning Herald reported.

Emergency services were called to the Blaxcell Street home at around 7.30 pm, where they found a man with serious stab wounds and an injured woman.

After a preliminary treatment at the scene, the couple were rushed  to Westmead Hospital , where the husband was pronounced dead.

“Police are investigating the possibility whether it is a domestic violence related incident,” reads a media release issued by police on Saturday night.

Neema Gautam, 34, was released from hospital on Sunday morning and taken to Granville police station, where she was charged with murder.

She will appear before Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday, after being refused bail by police.
