Lightning strike kills toddler



MARTADI: A two-year-old girl was killed from a lightning strike in the wee hours today. The victim has been identified as Siria Sarki, the daughter of Lali Sarki of Badheda in Budhiganga municipality -10, Bajura.

The girl who had lost her consciousness due to the lightning strike failed to regain it. Her mother has been in an unconscious state since the incident, according to their neighbor Ramesh Sarki. The girl’s father is in India in the course of employment.

Similarly, the lightning-caused damage to a house of local Lal Bahadur Sarki, police said. The District Police Office Bajura said a team from the Area Police Beat Tante has already off to the incident site for further investigation.
