Bheri-Babai project likely to inundate 21 hectares of land

SURKHET:  Some 21 hectares of land is likely to be inundated due to Bheri-Babai Multipurpose Diversion Project- a national pride project.

The survey carried out five years ago had shown that only eight hectares of land to be waterlogged.

The project carried out the survey again after locals of the affected areas expressed their dissatisfaction over the old survey report. A total of 11 households would be affected by the project.
