Criminalization in politics unacceptable; says Minister Baskota



BANEPA: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Baskota today said criminalization in politics cannot be pardoned at any cost.

Speaking at a program in Banepal on Wednesday, Minister Baskota also said people responsible for burning people alive or abusing women would not be pardoned.

He said the government would turn no stone unturned to bring them to book.

Minister Baskota also said that no perpetrator would be allowed to walk free in the rule of law.

He also urged media to discourage criminalization in politics and corruption in the leadership.

Criminalization and corruption in leadership need to be discouraged through combined efforts, he said adding that the government is endeavoring to take action against those corrupt.

He also claimed that the people’s representatives are making every effort to fulfill the promises they made at times of elections.
