Baskota says Media Council Bill will be made media friendly



KATHMANDU: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota has said the Media Council Bill will be made media friendly by incorporating suggestions for ensuring press freedom.

Receiving a memorandum submitted by the Press Organization Nepal demanding an amendment to the bill, Minister Baskota said that the government was not against the press freedom

He said that the government was only forwarding the bill to make the press responsible, decent and fair.
