Economic growth at 6.7% : CBS



KATHMANDU: The economic growth of the country is projected to remain at 6.7 percent in the current fiscal year 2018/19.

The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) is making preparations to unveil the estimated economic growth within few days.

The growth rate of agriculture is at 5 percent. Agriculture’s contribution to the gross domestic product (GDP) is 27 percent.

A total of 5.61 million metric tons of paddy had been produced in this fiscal year. The government had set a target of 8 percent of economic growth this fiscal.
