Biplav cadre killed in police action



BHOJPUR: A cadre associated with Nepal Communist Party led by Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ was killed in a police action.

Tirtha Raj Ghimire of Shadananda Municipality-2, who sustained injuries in the police action, has died in the course of treatment at 3 am today.

Critically injured Ghimire was rushed to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan after his treatment was impossible in the district hospital, Chief District Officer, Nurahari Khatiwada, said.

It is learnt that security personnel encountered with armed Bipalv cadres at Dhodre jungle, of Temkemaiyung Rural Municipality-2 on Tuesday. There were around 15 Biplav cadres.

Ghirime tried to attack police with a weapon in the encounter. In retaliation, police oped fire on Ghimire, leaving him injured.
