KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three people with fake banknotes at Nayabasti in Bauddha in the district.

A police team deployed from Metropolitan Police Circle, Bauddha apprehended them with banknotes worth Rs 50,000.

“Three people were arrested with fake banknotes on Monday. A police squad deployed from Metropolitan Police Circle, Bauddha arrested them,” confirmed SSP Uttamraj Subedi.

The details of the arrested are yet to be made public. Police said they are investigating the case after taking them under control.
