Lamichhane’s wife Nikita lodges complaint at police

KATHMANDU: Nikita Paudel, wife of Rabi Lamichhane who is doing time in Chitwan police custody over TV journalist Shalikram Paudasaini’s death, has filed a complaint against three individuals including chief of District Police Office, Chitwan.

Paudel has lodged the complaint at the Metropolitan Police Range (MPR), Kathmandu today, in which SP Dan Bahadur Malla, chief of District Police Office, Chitwan, acting president of Nepal Press Council and editor of Jana Aastha Weekly Kishor Shrestha and Sanket Koirala, editor of www.nepalaaja.com, a news portal, have been mentioned as defendants, according to MPR, Kathmandu.

In the complaint filed, the plaintiff has sought stringent action against the trio arguing that they have tampered with the electronic evidence in course of the investigation, said SSP Uttam Ram Subedi, chief of MPR, Kathmandu.

“A group including Paudel has arrived here at the office to file the case. The registration process is underway,” SSP Subedi told Khabarhub.
