LAHAN: Five people including three children died in separate incidents that took place in the district on Saturday.

Five-year-old Sandhya Kumari Shah, the daughter of Pramod Kumar Shah of Siraha municipality-12, died after being bitten by a poisonous snake. She was playing in front of her house when she was bitten by the snake.

Similarly, Tilak Baral,22, of Bandipur in Karjanha municipality-1 also died of snake bite. He died on the way to the hospital, District Police Office, Siraha said.

In another incident, two children drowned in two separate places. In ward no. 1 of Arna rural municipality. Sakhchi Kumari, the five-year-old daughter of Nanda Lal Pal drowned in a pond as she was playing near it.

Likewise, three-year-old Mohammad Afros Hussein, the son of Mohammad Masaraf Hussein died after falling into a pit in front of his home in Mahuliya tole of Kalyanpur municipality-4.

Furthermore, the proprietor of the Biswakarma Suppliers Grill Industry, Manish Kumar BK was electrocuted at his workshop in Golbazaar municipality-4. The 20-year-old was a resident of Bagmati municipality-8, Deputy Superintendent of Police Apil Raj Bohara said.
