KATHMANDU: Nepal Bar Association (NBA), the umbrella organization of law practitioners, has demanded stern action against those behind the attack on senior advocate Sunil Kumar Shrestha.

Encircling Shrestha’s law firm is not only an indecent activity, but it is also an act of threatening his life, a statement issued today by NBA’s General Secretary Lilamani Poudel said.

An unidentified group of over 50 people had on December 18 attacked Shrestha over his pleading a case in the capacity of a legal practitioner for defendant Bijaya Pathak, the statement said.
