Heavy downpour forecast today: MFD



KATHMANDU: Monsoon is still active across the nation. Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has forecast heavy downpour in a few places and possibility of light rain in some places today.

With moist wind blowing into the country from the Bay of Bengal,  heavy rain is likely to occur in few places in Nepal despite low monsoon trough in the southern part of the country.

The weather is generally to fully cloudy across the country and the rain is likely to occur accompanied by thunderstorms in some places , according to MFD.

MFD has urged people living in hilly and Chure areas in Province 1, 2, 3 and Gandaki Province to take caution as the rivulets might surge due to downpour.
