Sexagenarian held for raping minor



PARASI: A sexagenarian has been arrested on the alleged charge of raping a minor girl.

District Police Office, Nawalparasi arrested 65-year-old Kum Bahadur Gurung of Sunwal Municipality-6, Bisasaya.

According to an FIR filed at the District Police Office, Gurung made advances to the two and a half years old girl and raped her when she came to his house in course of playing on Sunday evening.

The victim has undergone a medical checkup at Prithvi Chand Hospital. Police said they are investigating the case after taking rape-accused Gurung into custody, said DSP Birendra Thapa.
