JHAPA: Revenue worth more than Rs 360 million was found to have been evaded on tobacco related products in cahoots with proprietor of the Sakambari Products located at Mechinagar municipality-14 in Jhapa district.
According to Revenue Investigation Department, revenue worth Rs 365 million was evaded in cahoots of six persons including proprietor of the company, Ram Krishna Sharma.
Director General of the Department, Dirgharaj Mainali, said that the Sakambari Product was found selling its tobacco products, produced illegally, without paying exercise duty, VAT and income tax with involvement of Madhav Enterprises.
A case has been filed at District Court, Jhapa, against Proprietor of Sakambari Products, Mukesh, Ram Krishna and Sadan Singh as well as proprietor of Madhav Enterprises Sitaram Sharma, vehicle owner Ashish Sharma and Bishnu Prasad Kharel for their involvement in evading revenue was found. Similarly, the Department has filed case against three persons for their involvement in evading tax by using fake VAT receipt.
They were found evading revenue worth Rs 17.42 million. A case was filed against Binita Dawadi, proprietor of Ambel Enterprises, proprietor of Susajjit Enterprises, Saraswoti Gautam and her husband, Ram Sharan.
