Man arrested with 19 kg silver



BARA: Police have arrested a man with 19 kilograms silver from Simraungadh entry point in the district.

According to police, a team of Armed Police Force arrested Mukhti Sha, 32, of Simraungadh-6 with 19.1 kilograms silver.

A border patrol arrested Sha with a huge cache of silver while he was ferrying the consignment on a motorcycle with Indian registration number BR 06M 1060. The seized silver fetches around Rs 1.4 million in the domestic market, police said.

Along with the seized silver and the motorcycle, Sha has been handed over to Birgunj Customs Office for further action.
