Six missing after Bolero jeep plunges into Arun River

SANKHUWASABHA: Six people went missing after a Bolero jeep heading to Dharan carrying a patient from Khandbari plunged into the Arun River on Tuesday night.

According to District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha, the accident took place when the ill-fated jeep, Ko 1 Ja 3749, veered off the road and fell down from Akkar cliff in Dharma Devi Municipality last night.

Jeep driver Santosh BK, Pramesh Thapa Magar of Khandbari-9, his sister-in-law Kalpana Thapa Magar, two-month-old Samir Shrestha, his parents Sangam Shrestha and Sadiksha Shrestha went missing, said District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha in the Arun River following the accident.

Police said they are searching the missing people.
