‘Probe sexual harassment allegations against Bhattachan’

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Post has reported that the international academics have been concerned over inaction in sexual harassment allegations leveled against retired Tribhuvan University lecturer Krishna Bhattachan.

Issuing a statement on Sunday, the Britain-Nepal Academic Council (BNAC) said, “We are deeply concerned to hear about the lack of any investigation into the allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct leveled against Bhattachan, a leading retired academic, in TU.”

The allegations against Bhattachan ranged from making lewd remarks to inappropriately touching them during advisory sessions at his residence, according to the report.
