KOICA President Lee pays courtesy call on Prez Bhandari



KATHMANDU: The Korea International Cooperation Agency’s (KOICA) President Lee Mikyung has paid a courtesy call on President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Tuesday at the Office of the President Sheetal Niwas in the capital.

The delegation led by Lee included South Korean Ambassador Park Young-sik as well as other high-level officials from KOICA Headquarters and Nepal Office.

The meeting discussed possible collaboration between the Korean government and the Nepal government in the Gender mainstreaming program in Nepal that could lead to women empowerment. It would be focused on providing quality education and economic opportunities to Nepali women.

President Bhandari thanked the Korean government for being a good friend of Nepal for a long time. She especially mentioned the Employment Permit System that offers employments to Nepali youths and implementing other development activities in Nepal.

The Korean delegation also showed interest to support the capacity development of Korea returned workers.
