KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a youth with two automatic pistols and 20 live bullets from a checkpoint in Chandragiri-2, Naagdhunga on Saturday.

Police said they have arrested Sulabh Lama alias Munal, 28, of Konjyosom Rural Municipality-2 of Lalitpur district.

During a routine check, police recovered the pistols and the bullets from a bag Lama was carrying as he was traveling in a bus Ba 2 Kha 1980 heading to Kathmandu from Dhading.

Police also recovered two lubricating oil bottles, one binocular, five mobile sets and documents from his possession.

Metropolitan Police Circle, Thankot said that Lama has been sent to Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu for further investigation.
