Ward Chairman arrested in banking crime case



MAHOTTARI: Police have arrested Ghuran Mahato, ward chairman of Bardibas Municipality–9, in connection with a banking crime case.

Mahato, who had been absconding after the Mahottari District Court issued an arrest warrant against him on May 5, was apprehended by police on Thursday.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Panchalal Gole, Mahato is currently being held at the Area Police Office, Bardibas. Further investigation into the banking crime case is underway.
