Ten killed in jeep accident in Bajhang

BAJHANG: Ten persons died in a road accident when a jeep, Se 1 Ja 1072, heading towards Masta rural municipality from Dungri in Bajhang district met with an accident at Masta-1 on Monday.

The identities of the deceased have not been ascertained yet.  Police Inspector at Ward Police Office, Mahananda Joshi, said that they have been facing problem to carry out rescue operation as the jeep has fallen down at a most difficult place.

The reason behind the incident has to be ascertained yet.  They have found four bodies so far and the jeep has now been stuck at the cliff.

It is still unknown how many passengers were traveling in the jeep. Further details of the incident are awaited. A team comprising Chief District Officer Suresh Sunar, Deputy Superintendent of Police Surya Bahadur KC has headed towards the incident site.

Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and locals have been digging a path to reach the incident site for a rescue operation.
