Withdraw Guthi Bill outright or face strong agitation, warns NC

KATHMANDU: Opposition lawmakers have warned that they would hit the streets if the Guthi Bill were not withdrawn as soon as possible.

Speaking at a House meeting on Sunday, Dilendra Prasad Badu asked the government to withdraw the Bill immediately, arguing that it is against the religious, cultural social norms of the country.

Further, he slammed the government for having a double personality on the issue of Guthi. “The Bill should be withdrawn outright,” said said.
