Khari tree planted at Tundikhel

KATHMANDU: A khari tree (Celtis Australis) has been planted at Tundikhel at the heart of Kathmandu City on Saturday afternoon as a part of the second phase of the Occupy Tundikhel Campaign. Occupy Tundikhel is a campaign aimed at freeing the open space from encroachment.

Campaigners said that the tree was planted at the same place at which Rana Prime Minister Chandra Shumsher announced Nepal free from slavery.
