Wiping out democratic-republic unrealistic: NCP Chairman Dahal

KATHMANDU: Chairperson of Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal has warned ‘anti-change elements’ that trying to block the sun with their hands would be nothing but a worthless effort.

He urged all sections of the society to put efforts towards protecting the achievements so far rather than making regressive steps.

NCP Chairman Dahal also instructed youths and students to be alert against any anarchic and reactionary tendencies that are directed against the democratic republic.

“It is high time that such tendencies are retaliated,” Dahal said while addressing the fifth memorial day function of party leader Posta Bahadur Bogati at the party central office in Dhumrabarahi on Monday.

Stating that NCP and the government are currently in the process of creating the basis of socialism to ensure prosperity and development, Dahal urged all sections to unite against ‘capitalists and imperialists’, which he claimed have surrounded from all sides.

“Do not ever assume that the democratic republic that has been established through several decades of struggle can be wiped out,” he warned.
