22 candidates file nominations for seven wards in far-west



BAITADI: A total of 22 candidates have filed their nominations for the leadership in seven different wards of Baitadi for the November 30 by-election.

Eight candidates have filed nominations for three wards in Baitadi while three have filed their candidacies at the Triveni municipality-1 in Bajura.

Similarly, five candidates are contesting for the ward chief in Punarbas municipality-3 of Kanchanpur.

Four candidates have registered their nominations for the ward chairs in Doti.

Meanwhile, Achham has witnessed the registration of two candidates from two major parties – the Nepali Congress (NC) and the Nepal Communist Party (NCP).

The by-election will be held at three wards in Baitadi and one each in Achham, Doti, Bajura, and Kanchanpur.

The by-election will take place at Surnaya rural municipality-1, Dhogdakedar rural municipality-4, and Purchaudi municipality-4 in Baitadi.

Similarly, the by-poll is scheduled to take place at Adarsha rural municipality-2 of Doti, Mallekh rural municipality-5 of Achham, Triveni municipality-1 of Bajura and Punarbas municipality-3 of Kanchanpur.
