AOAN warns of halting flights over check-in counter vandalism

KATHMANDU: Airlines Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN) has warned of halting all flights if the concerned authorities don’t take action on the lawmaker vandalizing a check-in counter of Buddha Air at Janakpur Airport.

Issuing a statement on Monday, AOAN has given a seven-day ultimatum to bring the guilty to book while demanding a fair probe into the incident.

Lawmaker Pramod Shah representing the Rastriya Janata Party Nepal from Sarlahi-1 had vandalized the counter.

Shah had vented his ire after the flight scheduled for 11:40 am did not take off till 1:30 pm.
