KATHMANDU: As many as 20 Nepali migrants have returned home under the ‘The Back for Good’, an amnesty program, launched by Malaysia.
“A total of 20 Nepali migrants staying illegally in the country returned home on Tuesday under this amnesty program,” said Nepali Embassy in Malaysia.
Nepali Embassy in Malaysia had helped them gather and submit required documents for their comeback.
Malaysia launched the amnesty program since August 1. Any Nepali migrant staying illegally can return home after paying Ringgit 700 (Rs 20,000) under the program.
This ‘The Back for Good’ program will remain effective for four months ( August 1 to December 31).
