PM Oli visits Silver Pagoda in Phnom Penh

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli visited the Silver Pagoda in Phnom Penh on Tuesday. The Silver Pagoda is one of the major attractions in the Cambodian capital and had its floor covered with five tons of gleaming silver.

The pagoda was originally constructed of wood in 1892 during the rule of King Norodom, who was apparently inspired by Bangkok’s Wat Phra Kaew, and was rebuilt in 1962 again.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Oli and members of his entourage keenly observed the pagoda particularly its style and richness.
