KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Tuesday dragged two engineers of Kalaiya Municipality to court for graft.

The anti-graft body charge-sheeted engineers Kishor Yadav and Madhav Prasad Yadav for corruption after it was found that they were allegedly involved in irregularities during road construction.

Following a complaint that low-quality materials were used in road construction at Kalaiya Sub Metropolitan City-21, CIAA filed the case against them at the Special Court for corruption.

CIAA has demanded Rs 571,269 be confiscated and Rs 50,000 be fined along with three-year in jail for them.
