NC to obstruct house yet again

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress party said it would continue to obstruct the parliamentary proceedings until a parliamentary probe commission is formed to probe into the Sarlahi incident.

Talking to journalists today, NC lawmaker Gagan Thapa said his party has been demanding the formation of a probe commission since the Sarlahi incident could weaken democracy.

“Failure to reach to the truth of the Sarlahi incident might endanger democracy,” Thapa told reporters. He also stated that the findings of the probe committee would be acceptable to NC.

Thapa also criticized the Speaker for not allowing him to speak on behalf of the party on the issue.
