Police constable dies in road accident



CHITWAN: A police constable was killed when a Bolero jeep (Ba 17 Cha 5758) hit a motorcycle (Na 55 Pa 1425) he was riding at Ramnagar of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1 last night.

The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Yadu Prasad Pathak of Nilkantha Municipality-10 in Dhading, who was posted at the Chitwan district police office.

He died while undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Hospital.

Pathak was returning to Bharatpur from a police post, Ramnagar when the accident occurred, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ek Narayan Koirala.

Police have taken under control the driver and the vehicle.
