Chinese national held with 4.2 kg Ephedrine



KATHMANDU: Narcotics Control Bureau of Nepal Police arrested kingpin of drug trafficker Chinese national Xiang Chao with 4.2 kilogram of stimulant Ephedrine.

Chao was caught while he was trying to  transport the banned drug  to New Zealand via the route of Nepal on Saturday night.

SSP Birendra Basyal of Narcotics Control Bureau said the confiscated drug is priced at Rs 5 million in New Zealand while it is available for Rs 225,000 in Nepal.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking international drug trafficker Chao into custody.
