Nepal imports vegetables worth Rs 7b, exports 110m

KATHMANDU: Naya Patrika daily has reported a massive trade-deficit in the export-import of vegetables. According to the report, Nepal has imported vegetables worth Rs 7 billion while its export rate is put at worth Rs 110 million.

According to the report, the country has imported potatoes worth Rs 3 billion, onions worth Rs 2 billion while tomatoes worth Rs 240 million in the last five months.

The daily newspaper has highlighted Sindhuli road accident in which seven people died and 47 got injured.

It has also reported the ongoing dispute in the unification task-force of the Nepal Communist Party and the Melamchi project terminating the contract with Italian builder.
