KATHMANDU: The government has failed in its last-ditch effort to bring back the Italian contractor for Melamchi drinking water project, reported The Kathmandu Post.

The government on Thursday terminated the contract with its Italian builder Cooperativa Muratori e Cementisti di Ravenna after a series of negotiations failed to strike a deal.
