Maoist leader Adhikari passes away

KATHMANDU: Leader of the Mohan Baidhya alias Kiran-led Nepal Communist Party (Revolutionary Maoist) Rammani Adhikari passed away on Wednesday night. He was 73.

Adhikari, who was the member of Central Advisory Committee of the party, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Bheri Zonal Hospital.

Issuing a statement, the party’s General Secretary Kiran said that the party and Nepal’s Maoist revolution have suffered ‘a great loss’ with the demise.

Adhikari had also played a significant role in the decade long ‘People’s War’, the party added in the statement.
