Prime Minister Employment Program to start from Bhaktapur

KATHMANDU: The much-hyped Prime Minister Employment Program is set to kick-start from Bhaktapur.

Launched with the aim of resolving the unemployment program rampant in the country, the program  will be inaugurated by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on June 7, said Nepal Communist Party (NCP) lawmaker and former Industry Minister Mahesh Basnet.

A total of Rs 24.6 million has been allocated for Bhaktapur district under the program. Of the total allocated amount, Suryabinayak Municipality will get Rs 6.634 million, Madhyapur Thimi Rs 7.176 million, Bhaktapur Municipality Rs 6.4 million while Changunarayan Municipality Rs 4.4 million.

The program has received 400 applications from Suryabinayak, 910 from Changunarayan and 76 from Madhyapur Thimi.
