PM Oli undergoes health checkup at TUTH

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli reached the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH)* on Sunday morning for a health checkup

The prime minister reached the hospital at around 9 am and underwent an X-ray of his chest.

During a Secretariat meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) held on Saturday, the prime minister had told the leaders that his kidney has stopped functioning and he was left with an alternative to undergo regular dialysis or opt for another transplant.

PM Oli was admitted to the Dhapasi-based Grande International Hospital on Wednesday and was discharged the next day after undergoing dialysis twice.

Meanwhile, a Cabinet meeting is underway at Baluwatar.

A Secretariat meeting of the party is also scheduled at Baluwatar for today to finalize the candidates for the by-elections.
