TU admits to have issued a degree certificate by tampering score



KATHMANDU:  Tribhuvan University (TU) has admitted to have issued a degree certificate to a student by tampering the score in three subjects.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested Ram Bahadur Karmacharya, an official at the Controller of Examinations,  Balkhu, after he admitted to have tampered with the score secured by Surendra Koirala. Koirala had actually secured only nine marks in this subject.

Similarly, in yet another subject Korala had obtained only 5 marks. Additional 50 marks is found to have added to it to change it to 59.

Meanwhile, a probe committee has been formed on this issue.
