Deuba accuses NCP of winning by-polls by detonating bombs

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has accused the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) of winning the by-elections by detonating bombs.

Pointing a finger at the fairness in the polls, Deuba accused the ruling party of scaring voters by carrying out explosions in Kaski-2.

Four explosions with no human casualty were reported during the by-polls in the constituency on Saturday.

Speaking a function organized at the party headquarters in Sanepa on Monday to remember the party’s late leader Bhim Bahadur Tamang, Deuba claimed that the ruling party misused power in the polls.

“The voters in the stronghold of NC including in Kaski-2 were scared,” he claimed.

The former prime minister further accused that local administration and police played a role to make the NCP candidate victorious.
