Two killed in road accidents



BHAKTAPUR: Two persons were killed and two others were injured in separate road accidents in Bhaktapur on Wednesday night, police said.

Thirty-two-year-old Kanchha Rai of Dolakha district, currently living at Changunarayan in Bhaktapur, died when a jeep bearing registration number Ba 10 Cha 4026 heading towards Nagarkot from Kamalbinayak fell around five meters off the road at Chareli.

Jeep driver Pradeep Raut, 20, of Melung, currently living at Changunarayan, has been injured in the accident. He is undergoing treatment at the Kathmandu Medical College in Kathmandu.

Meanwhile, a pillion rider identified as Roman Tamang, 29, of Ramechhap died when a motorcycle — State 3-02-003 Pa 5529 — collided with a tractor with registration number Na 6 Ta 868 at Gaththaghar.

He died while undergoing treatment at Trauma Centre, Kathmandu, according police. Dhan Bahadur Thing, 28, of Ramechhap was injured in the accident.
